Hallo Leute,
Ich bin ein tischtennis spieler von Frankreich und kann nicht deutsch gesprechen (ich bin sorry fur this!) So I will share my impressions on the Spinbreaker with you in english. Too bad, I can't read german, it would be good for me to understand your opinion on this LP. If you could share a bit of what you think about it in english that'd be great.
Imperial which had quite a good FL rubber a few years back is launching the Spinbreaker in January.
I asked the company if they could send me sample sheets in order to organize a test session thruout our forum in France and they accepted. I was sent 2 sample sheets by the company last week and was able to try out the rubber last night. (sample sheets sent are in Ox).
Here are my initial impressions :
The rubber is really good if you are an allrounder. Chopping away from the table, attacking backsping balls, blocking, Spinbreaker has it all.
Pips are stiff, rubber is rather slow (on my Yinhe LQ-2) slower than Desperado Ox on the same blade.
When chopping away, you can create quite a decent amount of backspin; the ball can be played long or short without any difficulties.
The ball tends to sink a bit after rebound and control is really good just like spin variation.
My favorite stroke being the BH chop, I was quite satisfied.
At the table : as the rubber is rather slow, it's easy to play short or long, active or passive. Attacking backspin ball is real e-z, and the punchblock proved to be quite effective. I even was able to play BH topspins with some little adjustment (wrist and angle of the bat). Of course there's almost 0 spin but it can be disturbing for the opponent as he would maybe think that there is some spin imparted.
Blocking : great blocking possibilities as the pips are stiff and the rubber slow. I was able to control topspins without any problems (and I am not a blocker) and with some wrist action, the backspin imparted was really good.
Spinbreaker allows to block actively (long ball) or passively (chop-block) and even when the ball came fast, I had no problem controlling.
Serve return : the rubber is not sensitive to incoming spin and returning serves is super easy. Once again, as the rubber is slow, you can play short or long, behind the net or in the angles. Attacking serves with some kind of punch-block can be quite deceptive.
All in all, the Spinbreaker is a really good allround LP. Attacking, defending, putting pressure on the opponent when playing at the table, returning serves easily, you can play many many strokes with great control and confidence. It's in my opinion the ideal LP for a player who's a modern defender and wants to be able to play away and at the table. A bat with a hard outter ply will be its ideal companion.
Hope this will give you a good overview of what the rubber can do. Here are a few pictures of the LP (sorry if the quality is not good..)
